The hand therapists in our office are Occupational Therapists and Certified Hand Therapists. Hand therapy is a specialty area of Occupational Therapy which requires in depth knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, protocols, and splinting focused on the upper extremity. In our office, the hand therapists and surgeons communicate closely in order to maximize the outcome for each patient, with the therapist often attending MD office visits to develop a customized treatment plan.
